Sick Child Visits in Las Vegas, NV
Nothing is worse than when your child is sick. Whether your baby is running a fever, your little one is vomiting, or your teen has come down with some brutal respiratory infection, you must have a trusted pediatrician that you can turn to when your child or teen needs care most. Here at Centennial Pediatrics we know that it often seems that children get sick at the worst possible times. The good news is that we’re prepared.
Our top priority is to make sure that your child gets the immediate attention and care they deserve when they walk through our doors. If your child is ill, we will do whatever we can to guarantee that your child sees one of our providers as quickly as possible. We have strategically organized our schedule each day to allow for urgent and same-day sick child needs for our patients.
We know that it can be challenging to know when to bring your child in for care or when you may need to rush to the ER. We can diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, injuries, and diseases right here in our office; however, if your child is dealing with a serious or life-threatening problem, it’s important that you call 911 or immediately go to the nearest emergency room. For all non-life-threatening health problems, the team at Centennial Pediatrics is here to help.
Reasons for a sick-child visit include,
- A fever that is higher than 100.4 F for children under 2 months, or fever at or over 104 F in older children (as well as fevers that last more than two days)
- Abdominal pain
- Ear infection
- Painful or severe rash
- Broken bones
- Bad fall or accident
- Issues swallowing
- Persistent or intense headaches or migraines
Dehydration, concussions, severe bleeding, and other serious issues are best handled at an emergency room; however, most everyday illnesses and injuries can be treated by our team of pediatricians right here at our Weston or Medfield, MA, practice.
If your child is sick don’t wait to get them medical attention. The pediatric team at Centennial Pediatrics can help them feel better. Call us today at (702) 897-6000 so we can get them in right away for treatment.
